Sabaidee (Hello in Laotian), thank you for visiting our website. New Harvest Church of the Nazarene (formally known as Laotian Church of the Nazarene) was established in the early 1980's by a handful of American Nazarene members who have compassion to share the message of God's love with the Laotian refugees in the Fox Valley area. Then the ministry was officially organized as Laotian Church of the Nazarene in 1988. However, since 2001 the Laotian church has become a part of Multi-Congregational Ministries of Elgin Church of the Nazarene for a greater harvest.
Rev. Rodney Miller, Senior Pastor of Elgin Church and Rev. Sisouphanh Ratthahao welcome people who attend the 20th Anniversary of New Harvest Church. Our dream of sharing the Message of Hope in Jesus with every Laotian is still alive today as we continue to share Christ's Love with the people. Though many have come to faith in Christ through ministries as New Harvest Church of the Nazarene, there are so many who have yet to hear of God's love. Our purpose is to make Christlike disciples in the nations. And our desire at New Harvest Church is also to build a strong, CHRIST-CENTERED ministry to serve as a LIGHTHOUSE, pointing people to the HOPE that is the True and Living God and to meet the needs of our community, healing hurts, raising our children in the God-honoring environment and training for leaders for the future. We believe our ministry is a great place for the people to find that hope.
Some of New Harvest current members line up to receive words of encouragement from Dr. Brian Wilson, Superintendent of Chicago Central District Church of the Nazarene and Rev. Rodney Miller, Senior Pastor of Elgin Church of the Nazarene. .
